The program can be completed in less than two years. The program offers a wide variety of courses that focus on all aspects of management in the sports industry.
The delivery mode for this 30 credit M.S. in Sports Management program is a face‐to‐face classroom setting in an accelerated cohort format. Each class is a three-credit offering lasting eight weeks. All classes meet one night per week from 6‐10 p.m. Classes meet continuously during a 12 month period. As one of the first Sports Management Programs in the country, the University of Massachusetts draws on 35 years of experience in Sports Management education to offer a 35-credit Masters of Science Degree program. Students take 29 credits of coursework over the Fall and Spring semesters of one academic year.
To earn the additional 6 credits, students have three options:
Complete a six-credit internship with a Sports organization OR
Complete two additional Sports Management electives OR
Complete a Master's Thesis
