The MSc, or Master of Science, is an internationally recognized academic degree that indicates proficiency and knowledge of a given topic or field. Most MSc programs take about four years to finish, after which some join the workforce while others continue on in the classroom.
A program or course in sport generally prepares students to manage sports teams, become a senior coach of a sport students choose to focus on, become a physical education teacher or enter any closely related fields.
A few universities in the United States have extension programs in various parts of Jamaica. Most of the students who enroll in these part-time programs are working professionals who want to continue their education without having to relocate closer to the nation's Universities. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean.

Admission requirements include the following criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in physical education or kinesiology or their equivalent, with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 from a recognized accredited institution. Applicants who do not hold a degree in physical education or kinesiology may be required to successfully complete certain undergraduate prerequisite courses prior to admission.
A professional resume (All experiences in the field of Physical Education and Sport)
A written personal statement describing career goals and rationale for enrolling in the M.Sc. programme (limit 500 words)
