This course gives you the chance to design, implement and evaluate public relations campaigns – helping you to develop the practical and analytical skills you'll need for a successful career in strategic communications. You’ll develop a critical appreciation of the role of public relations in society, as well as key analytical and professional skills. You’ll also gain a solid understanding of the theory behind public relations, and have many opportunities to put this theory into practice.

This Masters in Strategic Public Relations will help you to develop a critical appreciation of the role of public relations in contemporary society, as well as key analytical, management and communication skills that are tested through practical exercises and theoretical knowledge.

The course is delivered online via Canvas, the University of Stirling’s online learning environment.

You will benefit from an international perspective, having the opportunity to study in both Stirling and Barcelona.

Taught entirely in English, the course offers a hands-on approach, while at the same time providing you with the theoretical foundations you need to practise public relations at a managerial level.

You’ll obtain a joint MSc degree from the University of Stirling and Pompeu Fabra University. You spend Semester 1 at the University of Stirling and then move to Pompeu Fabra University for Semester 2. You may then decide if you would like to have your dissertation supervised by staff at Stirling or Pompeu Fabra.... [-]

Open to graduates holding degrees in any subject, this course assumes no prior knowledge of public relations (PR) and is suitable for UK, EU and international students wishing to progress their academic knowledge of PR. It is also suitable for those who do not have a degree but who possess relevant experience.

Combining a unique blend of academic and practical public relations skills, the course will enable you to develop a successful career in an incredibly dynamic sector.
