The Master of Science Programme in Psychology comprises a total of 120 higher education credits, including a Master’s thesis of 30 credits. The programme provides specialisation and breadth in the field of psychology. The aim of the programme is to provide you with a Master’s degree firmly based on current research and to offer broad career opportunities.

Within the programme, you have the possibility of selecting courses of your own interest. Please note that the programme does not lead to a licence as a clinical psychologist.

The first semester focuses on theoretical and practical tools for psychology. The students get a grounding in the philosophy of psychology and cognitive science, which encompasses both current areas like embodied and extended cognition as well as the enduring questions about free will, consciousness and the role of folk psychology. Students participate in day labs with prominent researchers in different subfields, getting hands-on experience with the range of research methods used in the department. The master programme Occupational Therapy is a part-time Web-based distance programme, taught completely online.

Occupational Therapy is a part-time, web-based programme that is run as both a one-year master's degree (60 credits) and 2-year master's degree (120 credits). Both the one-year and two-year programmes are taught at a 50 percent rate of study, i.e., the 1-year programme takes 2 years to complete; the 2-year programme takes 4 years.

Since the programme is web-based there are no scheduled lectures on campus. This means that you will take part in the programme from your home country. The modules are distributed via the Internet using the web platform, Ping Pong.
