2 Masters of Science in Neuroscience Studies

Our Brain Imaging and Cognitive Neuroscience MSc provides a critical understanding of cognitive neuroscience and specific skills in brain imaging techniques (eg, f/MRI, M/EEG, EEG, brain stimulation and fNIRS). The students will have access to state-of-the-art equipment in the Centre for Human Brain Imaging to conduct The course will provide fundamental insights into important theories and hands-on experience in techniques and analysis methods in cognitive neuroscience. This will be achieved by taught courses as well research projects using the state-of-the-art equipment at the Centre for Human Brain Health. This is a centre dedicated to human brain research housing multiple neuroimaging tools in one building. -

The core curriculum provides a broad background in molecular biology, immunology, and medical microbiology, and infectious diseases. Advanced courses allow each student to fully develop an area of interest. Research strengths of the program include cellular and systems neurosciences, bioinformatics, molecular biology, computational modeling, biostatistics and data analytics, radiation physics, functional/structural imaging, in vivo and in vitro physiology, as well as biomedical engineering. The thesis or research option for the Master of Science degree provides training for individuals who will become technicians involved in biomedical research in universities or in the biotechnology industry, and for medical technologists seeking specialized research training. The non-thesis Master of Science degree option provides content appropriate for secondary school teachers seeking advanced training in areas such as neuroscience, systems biology, bioinformatics, medical imaging; and for students seeking admission to a professional school, such as medicine or dentistry. -
