They say that your job is only a job if you don’t love what you do. While it may be hard for many to envision anyone loving spreadsheets and financial ledgers, it’s clear to see how much fun there is to be had in working in the media. A Master of Science (MSc) focusing on media studies can help you to further grow the skills you learned as an undergrad while also giving you a leg up on those with whom you’ll be competing for jobs in the future.

The advanced courses taught in media graduate programs focus on creative practices and technologies, screen and media studies, digital cinema, and design media. Depending upon your specialty, other courses such as business administration, communications, electronics, and computer technology may be required. You’ll find that different graduate schools have different tuition rates depending upon the types of coursework and student benefits that they offer. If you’re worried about the costs of graduate school, talk with your program administrator about financial assistance options.
