The MSc programme in Forestry is geared for students who have completed their undergraduate studies in Forestry and have obtained the degree of BSc in Forestry or in related sciences.

The programme lasts for three semesters (18 months) and starts in October. After completing the courses, presenting the master’s theses and passing the final examinations the student receives the degree of M.Sc. in Forestry.During their studies, students are offered lectures, practicals, labs and field practicals/trips. Apart from obligatory courses students may select from a number of electives.Semester 1 consists of 17 obligatory courses. Semester 2 consists of 11 obligatory courses and 7 electives. Semester 3 has got a slightly different character, as it offers courses and seminars which should help students complete their master’s theses. ABOUT THE COURSEThe course lasts 3 semesters (1.5 years) and costs 3600 Euro.The course comprises 830 hours of lectures, classes, seminars, field trips and seed company visits. The studies, besides intellectual adventure, give you an excellent chance to develop your career and visit Europe. Carried out since 1995 and resulted in almost 80 graduates, of which 6 had continued their careers in Ph.D. studies, they provide you with good bases for further promotion in your professional life.The course includes selecting an MSc research project following the student’s individual interests. It is carried out at various departments of our University, Institutes of Polish Academy of Sciences (for Plant Genetics and Dendrology), Department of Botany of the University of Adam Mickiewicz and other research units. Some MSc research projects are also carried out in the Polish plant breeding and seed production seed companies. The course’s curriculum and individual syllabi have been regularly updated according to a suggestion from the seed industry. Master studies in Chemical Technology - Composites and Nanomaterials last for three semesters starting in February each year.

The first semester is partly devoted to amending the basic knowledge in chemical technology for candidates studying abroad and those persons who at their bachelor level, studied directions different from chemical technology to reach standards defined by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Regular courses contain physical and inorganic chemistry, engineering of materials and chemical reactors, the technology of polymers, processing of nanomaterials and composites. Classes on modeling and simulation are included.
