A master's program is an excellent way for students to focus their studies with a career in mind. The main purpose is to gain a higher level of specialization. It is this aspect that separates it from the broad studies that are incorporated in undergraduate programs.

What is an MSc in Geospatial Technologies? It sounds like a very complicated field, but it is relatively simple once you realize that it is where geography and information technology intersect. You will, of course, need to learn solid geographic basics, but the course is unique in the collection and organization of this information. Typically, this includes mapping or resource management. Programs in this field also often include workshops so students can have a better grasp of real-world applications.

Many graduates decide to pursue a career wherein they are able to help maintain and strengthen to environment. These individuals benefit from a very fulfilling profession. Also, by definition, this field is global, so there are many jobs no matter where in the world you are looking.

The cost of taking a Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies varies with the program and length of study. These factors, in turn, vary with the university and country. For this reason, extensive research is wise before enrollment.

Careers in the field of geospatial technologies are usually split into two categories: theoretical and practical. You can work in research or education, or you can go to the more applied side of the spectrum and work with the environment in landscaping, mapping, development of infrastructure, land maintenance, environment science, surveying, urban planning, or many other areas.  It is possible to work with government or independent organizations or even in a private practice.

If you are serious about working in geography studies, an MSc in Geospatial Technologies is likely right for you. Search for your program below and contact directly the admission office of the school of your choice by filling in the lead form.

Geodesign goes beyond a traditional understanding of geography, therefore demanding a multidimensional view of the environment, including population changes, our consumption, and demand of resources, existing natural and manmade systems, climate changes and other factors. By integrating the principles of design and this expanded geographic perspective, Geodesign professionals develop solutions to our environmental crises as they affect our urban populations and the future of our planet. The MS in Geospatial Technology for Geodesign is a 36-credit post-professional degree open to those interested in GIS and/or the allied design disciplines: architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and engineering. Classes are offered on a full-time or part-time basis and are held in the evenings and Saturdays in order to meet the needs of our professional students. -
