MSc Energy and Environmental Sciences
What are the solutions to the environmental issues on a global scale, like climate change, sustainable development and the greenhouse effect? What alternative sources of energy do we need to explore or make available for use?
The Master’s degree programme in Energy and Environmental Sciences focuses on the large-scale issues and tries to contribute to possible solutions to the environmental problems.
You can choose from two specializations:
System studies on Energy and Environment- with a strong design-orientated, systems approach character based in natural sciences. What are the possibilities for a sustainable future for a region, a country or the world as a whole? What characterizes the optimal transition routes towards a sustainable future?
Experimental studies of Energy and Climate - linked to an experimental, energy-related research programme. It covers a range of topics such as the carbon cycle in atmosphere and ocean, gas combustion studies, polymer solar cells, and biofuels technology. Teaching is highly modern and active student participation, as well as the development of more general (communication) skills, are essential in many courses.
