The graduate civil engineering program at The University of Akron provides students with opportunities to gain advanced knowledge, skills, and training, to design, build, and maintain the foundation for our modern society. This includes our buildings, roads and bridges, drinking or wastewater and energy systems, seaports and airports, and infrastructure. Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering gives students the opportunity to enhance their technical skills in civil engineering and creates possibilities for future career advancement. For engineers currently working in the field, they are able to apply what they learn in class to their work immediately.

This is a one year full-time or two year part-time postgraduate course designed to provide graduate engineers with specialist understanding in one of the following areas: Structural and Geotechnical Engineering; Environmental Engineering; Transportation Engineering; or Sustainable Energy Engineering. These programmes reflect our academic expertise and link closely with our research challenges. MSOE’s Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCVE) program is designed to equip students with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary for professional practice. The Master of Science in Civil Engineering offers students the opportunity to gain depth in one of three areas of specialization: construction management (ConM), environmental and water resources engineering (EWRE), and structural engineering (StrE).

MSOE’s MSAE degree emphasizes building structural design and analysis. It meets the needs of architectural, civil, or structural engineers who desire increased knowledge to design structural systems for modern buildings. It’s a flexible program, with courses offered evenings with the option of a two-, three- or five-year program.

In the Master of Science in Civil Engineering program in the College of Engineering at Temple University, you will master the skills needed to build and maintain the infrastructure of the modern world—including airports, bridges, canals, dams, highways, roads and tunnels—and also develop the geotechnical and structural analyzation skills required for responsible engineering.

The Architectural Engineering Department offers a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Architectural Engineering for students with interests in the design, construction and operation of high performing built environment. The MSc degree prepares students for specialized roles in professional practice as well as for advanced study at the doctoral level.
