Architecture for Society of Knowledge is a professional program focused on digital design and crucial aspects of architecture and urban planning. The duration of the program is 4 semesters.

Starting from Spring Semester, the Faculty of the Architecture Cracow University of Technology offers three semesters (2-years) Master’s Degree Studies in English (M.Arch.). The offer of these studies is meant for students with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and prepares them for professional practice as architects.

The environment we live in nowadays is very complex and the architect is forced to work on the existing heritage paying particular attention to its sustainability and considering the environment together with the built heritage as a resource to protect. The new MSc program "Architectural Design and History" is offering a study plan based on this very attitude.

The programme ends with a degree examination comprising an oral examination and a presentation of the diploma project. 20 ECTS credits are awarded to students who successfully prepare for the degree examination and write their Master's thesis that includes a diploma project. The scope of subjects in the oral examination covers four basic areas of the curriculum: theory of architecture, theory of urban planning, technology, and the history of architecture and urban planning. The degree project consists of a conceptual architectural design with elements of construction design or an urban planning design. After completion of the master's programme in Architecture and Urban, Planning students are awarded the Master's Degree in Architecture. Graduates of the programme are equipped with knowledge and skills that enable them to enroll in doctoral and specialised postgraduate programmes.

The master's programme in Architecture offers a unique learning environment where the possibilities for students to tailor their degrees are remarkable. Apart from orientation courses that explore the fundamentals of architecture, students freely choose studio courses from a wide range of themes that address current architectural topics. Graduates reach leading positions both in private architectural firms and the public sector.

The program has the objective to prepare an architect able to adequately respond in an innovative fashion to the complexity of problems related to Architectural design and construction in the case of large constructions and complex works.

The program develops theoretical, humanistic, artistic and design competencies based on the Italian tradition, facing different housing cultures, the new forms, and spaces of contemporary cities, the development of new urban settlements in developing countries, the innovation in building techniques and sustainability.

This master’s program provides the knowledge and know-how necessary to practice architecture and urban design professionally.

This program aims at providing a multidisciplinary background for architects, with a special focus on environmental sustainability and landscape design. The concept of sustainability is associated with a high-quality transformation of the landscape, from the macro-scale of urban planning to the micro-scale of technical details, how the varied scales connect and interrelate with each other.

The multicultural dimension of this English-taught master's degree prepares you extra for an international career as an architect or researcher. In this international programme you can for example be part of international research projects. Just like in the Dutch master's programme, the programme is composed of design and theoretical courses. In this master's program you also choose studios and optional course units from a varied cross-campus offering.

The Master in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes both the study of the history of architecture and art history.
