Compare 5 MSc Programs in Applied Chemistry

A master’s degree is a graduate-level degree program. Programs at this level usually offer in-depth study. Many schools require students to already hold a bachelor’s degree before enrolling.

What is an MSc in Applied Chemistry? An applied chemistry degree program focuses on combining chemistry and engineering. Scholars in a program may learn about various aspects of chemistry, such as nanomaterials, corrosion science, analytical chemistry, liquid chromatography and spectrometry. Students may also study natural resources, environmental contamination, occupational health and safety, risk management and environmental toxicology. Courses may also cover physical and materials chemistry, such as colloidal chemistry, nano-biotechnology and photocatalysis. Programs may include a research project that lets participants put their studies to practical use.

Completing a program can enable an individual to develop advanced research skills that can then be applied to a future career. In addition, students may learn skills that enable them to make new discoveries in the field of applied chemistry.

Costs for a program are different at each school due to base tuition prices and program structures. Because the costs from school to school vary, interested individuals can get the best cost estimates from their chosen schools.

After program completion, graduates may be ready to work in various energy sectors. They may find work in management-level positions with corporations or government agencies. Some possible job titles include teacher, science writer and analytical chemist. Another career option is as a toxicologist. Some students may choose to continue their education in a Ph.D. program or enter the field of research. Others may want to become teachers in colleges or universities or work for nonprofit organizations that are focused on the development of natural resources.

If you want a career in the field of chemistry, then you should consider earning an MSc in Applied Chemistry. Search for your program below and contact directly the admission office of the school of your choice by filling in the lead form.
