M.Sc. in Reproductive Biology
Master of Science program in Reproductive Biology aims at providing the theoretical background as well as practical skills in reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction technologies. The program includes courses on the development of male and female reproductive cells, embryo development, handling of reproductive cells and embryo at laboratory conditions. It also discusses the medical problems of the patients applying to "Assisted Reproductive Technologies Centers" and approaches to such problems. Graduates of the program will have the necessary background and skills to be employed in "Assisted Reproductive Technologies Centers" and "Andrology Laboratories". Additionally, they can apply to the centers assigned by the Ministry of Health to obtain the certificate required to work as the "Director of Embryology Laboratory".
The graduates will also be equipped with the skills suitable for working in stem-cell and other cell-culture laboratories, with extensive research experience and background to apply to the Doctor of Philosophy program in related fields (embryology, reproductive biology).
Reproductive Biology Masters of Science Program includes minimum 7 courses with a total credit of 21, a seminar and thesis based on independent research.
Part-time students will also be accepted for this program. These students are required to take all theoretical lectures but not practıcal sessions of the courses. The students who declare that they are actively working in an assisted reproductive technologies center will be considered for the part-time master program.
- BS or MS degree in Health Sciences (medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, medical biology, molecular biology and genetics, biology).
- A minimum score of 65 points in the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Test (ALES)
- Minimum TOEFL score of 80 in an internet-based test, 213 in computer-based test or 550 in a paper-based test.
