What is the programme about?
This MSc in Management Consultancy provides you with first-hand knowledge of the tools and techniques used by successful consultants in the competitive management consulting industry. You will get a detailed understanding of the global consulting industry; how it works, its dominant players, key success factors and the management issues that drive it.
We aim to give you the skills and knowledge you need to initiate and implement organisational, behavioural and technological changes in business.

This Masters programme is ideal for students with an undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related discipline.
The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
- A minimum second-class honours degree (or equivalent) in Business/Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related discipline OR
- An honours Graduate Diploma in Business Studies. OR
- A primary degree with a minimum of three years’ work experience.
Please Note: Degree awards (levels, categories, classification) vary greatly across countries. International students are urged to contact the Admissions Office to get clarification on equivalent grades and the grades required for entry to this Masters programme. The UCD GPA system ranges from 4.2 downwards, unlike many other universities for which it is 4.0.
Applicants with an undergraduate degree in Engineering must also have some previous work experience in business or a business qualification in addition to their primary degree. Applicants with a primary degree in Engineering only and no previous work experience or business qualifications will not be admitted to this programme.
If English is not your first language an English language qualification is required for admission to all of our programmes. The exception to this rule is if you have completed your primary degree or an entire third level qualification through English, in an english speaking country.
