This programme covers topics like Advanced IFRS, Accounting Process Management, Business Ethics and Financial Risk Management. In addition, you can select no less than two out of ten seminars with subjects ranging from corporate governance to behavioural and energy finance, followed by a thesis. By examining real-life issues, for example through empirical research, you will acquire an ‘all-round’ perspective on financial issues.

The core courses help students to get acquainted with a wide range of topics that are essential for accounting and finance and provide a solid background for attending the seminars. The seminars are the most important components of the Master’s specialisation. For these intensified courses, active participation and commitment are mandatory. Students are expected to write and to present several papers, present aspects of the literature or case applications, ask questions, express doubts and share ideas in class discussions. The last two blocks of the programme are devoted to the Master’s thesis. The thesis is written individually under close supervision by one of our academic staff members.
