This course builds upon your existing experience or qualifications in equipping you for an exciting career in sport. You'll learn the ins and outs of this ever-growing industry, gaining the contacts, skills and credentials that you need to make an impact in it.
In this course, you will develop employability skills alongside a detailed knowledge of the global sports industry. You will learn to identify and develop creative solutions for major clients, gain practical experience through optional industry placements and attain a sound theoretical grounding under tutelage from experienced specialists in world-class facilities. You will also have access to an employability adviser who will assist you with one-to-one sessions on application writing, preparation for the interview, CV development and individually tailored career guidance.

Normally a first degree 2:2 or above in a sport-related or business and management-related subject.
OR a first degree 2:2 or above in an unrelated subject, but with experience of working in sport or general business and management.
We welcome enquiries from those who have substantial management experience but who do not have the normal entry requirements. We may invite you for an interview to discuss your particular background, experience and qualifications. Our aim is to ensure you can achieve success on this masters course, but please contact us if you wish to discuss your own concerns. You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam.
Through accreditation of prior learning (APL), students may claim entry with credit or exemptions on the basis of their existing qualifications, knowledge and experience.
If English is not your first language you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills, or a recognised equivalent. If your level of English language is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider an appropriate Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course that will enable you to achieve the required level of English.
