In this programme you will obtain knowledge of the latest developments and research in political science. The aim is to prepare you for further academic research and/or the labour market. As an intended bridge to professional careers, the programme provides firstly, theoretical and empirical knowledge, and secondly, analytical and methodological skills. This combination leads to the capacity to learn, reflect, investigate and innovate.
A combination of seminars and thesis work will provide you with a strong critical grounding in the core issues of both political science and politics. This will ensure a capacity to actively engage in explanations and evaluations of political phenomena.
You will be able to choose a specialisation from a wide range of research topics, including Dutch Politics, International Relations, Comparative Politics and Democracy, Political Behaviour and Communication and Political Philosophy.
