Managers require a wide-range of skills and knowledge to succeed in an international arena. This 12-month programme equips you with the critical information and skills necessary to manage at an international level, drawing on the knowledge of a highly-acclaimed team of academics. Combining forward-thinking management theory with workplace-ready practical skills, the course focuses on how international business operates, leaving its graduates with an excellent grounding in skills necessary for today’s global market.


The Course

Our MSc in Management (International Business) is taught full-time over two semesters followed by a dissertation, through a combination of lectures, seminars, case studies, group work for collaborative learning and web-based discussion groups. Students are assessed through individual assignments, group projects, examinations and their dissertation.

You also have the option to undertake an organisational project, giving you real-world work experience within a company.

The course begins in September and lasts over a full 12 months. Students who successfully complete the first semester but do not proceed receive the PG Certificate. Those who pass both semesters but do not complete the dissertation receive the PG Diploma.

The Candidate

The MSc in Management (International Business) is likely to appeal to graduates in an unrelated discipline aiming for management and planning to operate successfully on an international scale.

You will have a 2:1 honours degree, or an approved professional qualification. For overseas students, Sheffield University Management School’s standard English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with at least 6 in each part or equivalent.
