An ideal choice for those who wish to study both International Business Management and Marketing, this 12-month programme is designed for students from any disciplinary background and is approved by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The nine modules equip candidates with the critical knowledge and skills necessary to be considered for an international role in these competitive fields and, because of the CIM accreditation, students completing this MSc are automatically awarded an ACIM status (Affiliate Post-Graduate Members of the CIM).

The Course

Our MSc International Management and Marketing is taught full-time over two semesters followed by a project dissertation, through a combination of lectures, seminars, case studies, group work for collaborative learning and web-based discussion groups. Students are assessed through individual assignments, group projects, examinations and their dissertation. You also have the option to undertake an organisational project, giving you real-world work experience within a company.

The course begins in September and lasts over a full 12 months. Students completing the programme will be awarded an ACIM status in addition to the MSc.

The Candidate

Our students are experienced and highly educated in their discipline, but want to build on their expertise and develop a critical appreciation of international management and marketing. This programme has been developed with its students at the forefront – alternative routes are available for those who have studied business before and you graduate not only with the MSc but also with an ACIM status.

You will have a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent), or an approved professional qualification. For overseas students, Sheffield University Management School’s standard English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with at least 6 in each part or equivalent.
