The importance of cross-border financial flows and the process of globalization have a significant influence on economic activity. The range of players is wide: commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, supra-national institutions, central banks, and corporations. One must be able to distinguish between the different activities of these players and understand that international finance has become a basis for financial activities.
