What is it?

The MSc International Business has been carefully crafted to reflect the complex, dynamic and multi-faceted character of this contemporary subject area. There has never been a more exciting time to study international business as it enters a period of dramatic change.

How will it help me?

The focus is very much on developing you to acquire the skills and attributes necessary for leadership, entrepreneurship and policy-making of tomorrow in management, strategy and decision-making and communication.

What will I study?

If you choose to specialise in marketing or finance, through elective modules and a dissertation in these areas, you may be awarded the MSc International Business with Marketing, MSc International Business with Finance. Research methods run through the whole programme as preparation for your dissertation in Term 3.

How will it be assessed?

Assessments will take a number of forms including presentations, reports, case study analysis, group work and reflective pieces. There are no examinations in this programme.

Where will I study?

The programme is delivered at the Canterbury campus, within sight of the famous Canterbury Cathedral, and five minutes’ walk from the city centre.

Where will it take me?

With a strong emphasis on the development of employment skills, graduates go on to pursue careers in business, management or policymaking. Some also engage in further research on the MPhil/PhD programme.

Student Support

In addition to the excellent student support services provided by the University, there is an induction programme which is designed to ensure that you fully understand what is expected of you and the opportunities that are available to you. You will also be allocated a personal tutor who you will meet on a regular basis.

Who should apply?

The MSc International Business is suitable for both graduates with a relevant business degree or those who are wishing to move into the business area and have a keen interest in this subject. In both cases, a good honours degree and English proficiency in English Academic IELTS 6.5 is required.
