Drawing knowledge and workplace experience from the Sheffield University Management School and the internationally renowned iSchool, this programme provides the essential theory and critical skills to excel in a managerial role, as well as a comprehensive understanding of information science.
Our MSc in Information Systems Management combines the latest thinking with practical skills you will use in your future employment. Students gain core skills in key management aspects, as well as knowledge on how to design, develop and implement information systems, manage information system projects and the fundamental changes they can lead to.
Taught full-time over two semesters, followed by a dissertation, students are educated through a series of lectures, seminars, case studies, group work for collaborative learning and web-based discussion groups. Assessment is through individual assignments, group projects, end-semester examinations and a dissertation.

Our MSc in Information Systems Management is ideal if you want to develop your managerial understanding and skills in management, both from a generalist view and information perspective. You will have a good second-class honours degree or an approved professional qualification. For overseas students, Sheffield University Management School’s standard English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with at least 6 in each part or equivalent.
