This 12 month Masters programme combines academic and applied aspects of entrepreneurship, ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations and from governments to social enterprises. The MSc in Entrepreneurship and Management has been designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking as well as enterprising skills and management expertise that will set you on your way to a successful career.
Throughout this course you will engage with a range of organisations to understand the importance of entrepreneurial practice. Our cutting edge programme is designed to be highly interactive and includes a range of current topics in entrepreneurship research, policy and practice. Modules focus on exploring the theories and practice of entrepreneurship, alongside issues such as intrapreneurship, corporate venturing, start-ups, social entrepreneurship and change management that will enhance your knowledge of entrepreneurship and management.
The MSc in Entrepreneurship and Management is taught full-time over two semesters, followed by a supervised research project that offers the opportunity to engage closely with businesses and entrepreneurs. Our expert team of academics and guest speakers utilise the school’s state-of-the-art facilities and incorporate visits to innovative entrepreneurial businesses. Learning takes place through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops and field visits and is assessed through a combination of independent and team work including essays, presentations, blogs, a business plan and a research project.

Our MSc in Entrepreneurship and Management is aimed at individuals seeking to develop entrepreneurial thinking, enterprising skills and management expertise to enhance their future careers whether starting their own businesses, managing in an innovative organisation or working in government. You do not need prior management or entrepreneurship experience to be accepted onto the course.
You will have a 2:1 honours degree, or an approved professional qualification. For overseas students, Sheffield University Management School’s standard English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with at least 6 in each part, or equivalent.
