This conversion course builds on your existing interest and knowledge of technology and prepares you for the many diverse and exciting career opportunities in this sector. The MSc has been designed in consultation with partners including Accenture and Hewlett-Packard, ensuring you graduate with the most up-to-date industry-relevant knowledge and skills.
The modules covered in this programme aim to develop your mastery and expertise in key computing areas and issues such as Website Development, Database Modelling and Programme Design and Implementation. You will also complete a final Computer Science and Digital Technologies project, giving you the opportunity to experience the full life cycle of a research project from initial conception to final evaluation.
Throughout the duration of the course, you will participate in group work to complete practical tasks that simulate real-life situations, giving you the experience of standard professional practice. Students will also receive constant one-to-one support from a specialised tutor, providing support on preparation for the final dissertation and guidance throughout the programme.
Who Would This Course Suit?
Our MSc Computer Science best suits those with already strong IT skills looking to further their expertise in the subject area. Applicants would preferably have some relevant IT experience. The course offers the opportunity to greatly upskill and differentiate yourself in a rapidly evolving industry.
Standard Entry Requirements
- Minimum 2:2 (second class) honours degree from a UK university or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications with equivalent standards which had significant requirements for academic study may also be considered.
If You Do Not Meet The Academic Requirements
Applicants who do not meet the standard academic requirements but who have substantial experience of working within a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will also be considered.
