The MSc Business Marketing with Management programme will give students both the general business knowledge and understanding as well as the personal skills needed for a wide variety of roles.
The MSc with Marketing Management programme provides students with both exceptional general business knowledge and understanding as well as the personal skills needed to advance into a wide variety of roles.
The programme is designed around compulsory modules common to all of our business pathways, covering general business functions, strategic management and organisational analysis. In completing these modules, the programme aims to develop your competency in understanding and applying strategic awareness, your leadership potential and understanding the theory and practise of international business.
In the second semester, you will be given the opportunity to specialise in Marketing Management, delving deeper into the strategic role of marketing within organisations. During this programme, you will build the required knowledge and skills to strategically analyse organisations' ability to develop and implement competitive marketing strategies. You will be assigned a personal research supervisor, an academic who will provide support throughout your dissertation, you will be required to submit an assessed research proposal prior to embarking on the dissertation itself.
Graduates of this programme have joined a wide range of businesses, including graduate training schemes, whilst a significant number of graduates have gone back to family businesses or even started up their own businesses.
This course is also available as MSc Business with International Management with Advanced Practise, which includes either an internship or project, giving you work experience and a valuable opportunity to put your learning into practice. The internship will take place between your second and final semester, and it may be paid or unpaid.
Who Would This Course Suit?
Our successful 'Business with ...' programme is for people who are looking for an introduction to the world of business whilst being allowed an opportunity to combine key business subjects with the study of a specialism pathway, in this case, Management. This course offers ultimate flexibility for students eager to enter the world of business.
A first degree, equivalent to a 2.2 honours classification. Applicants who do not have such an academic qualification but do have substantial experience of working in a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will also be considered. As there is some statistics taught during the programme, applicants should possess a mathematics qualification equivalent to a GCSE grade B. Plus one of the following:
- International/English Language Requirements:
- International applicants are required to have one of the following English language qualifications with grades as shown below.
- A British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 5.5
- Pearson Academic score of 62 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51
