Develop the skills you need for the career you want.
Prepare yourself for professional success with a Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership (MSEL) Program Details:
- Complete the program in 9 months.
- Both business and nonbusiness majors are encouraged to apply.
- Participate in unique experiential learning opportunities including the creation of a new venture, consulting for an organization on a real business challenge, mentoring young entrepreneurs in underserved areas of Boston, and exploring the global business landscape through an experience abroad.
The program consists of two, 14-week semesters during which students will take an integrated set of business courses. While we welcome candidates from all undergraduate backgrounds such as liberal arts, business, engineering and many others, MSEL candidates should have a demonstrated educational or practical foundation in financial accounting, finance, statistics, and economics. If you would like to confirm that a course satisfies MSEL prerequisite requirements, please email the course description, as well as a copy of your transcript and current resume to email@example.com.
Leading Entrepreneurial Action Project (LEAP)
This course will span the duration of the Master in Entrepreneurial Leadership program. Working as part of a team, you will define, design, and develop a business or initiative that solves a problem. All courses taken as part of the MSEL program are explicitly linked to the LEAP experience.
This experience takes place twice during the year in connection with the Creating You course. You will share your passion and knowledge about new venture creation through Babson’s partnership with the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship. You’ll have the opportunity to coach aspiring high school entrepreneurs in low-income communities in fall and spring.
Strategic Analysis Consulting Project
You will engage in a consulting project to address a real issue being experienced by a local company or organization. As part of your consulting work, you will present a strategic solution to the organization. This is an opportunity to gain experience and build your network in the Boston area.
MSEL students will take a travel study course to explore an international entrepreneurial ecosystem and to develop their global mindsets as entrepreneurial leaders. Travel for this course occurs for 8-12 days during winter term. Past locations of global experiences at Babson have included Chile, China, and Tanzania, among others.
Creating You: Building Your Professional Life
You will participate in curricular programming that will focus on your development as an entrepreneurial leader.
