The CARS graduate program creates leaders for the apparel industry and business professionals who are in demand. If your vision is to apply your interest in fashion to a career that will challenge and reward you, CARS will provide the academic, experiential and networking preparation you’ll need to reach your goal.
Our graduates currently work as merchandisers, marketers, buyers, and product developers for organizations large and small across North Carolina and the globe. In addition, our program has a large international enrollment, particularly at the doctoral level. Students come from Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, India, South America, and Canada. Their world perspective becomes part of classroom learning and discussion and is just one way we foster your global outlook on the industry.
Courses focus on consumer, apparel and retail issues with emphasis on consumer behavior, marketing and product development. You’ll also have the opportunity to select supporting coursework in related disciplines such as business, sociology, anthropology, and statistics.
Our graduate-level programs are competitive and in high demand, but our faculty create an environment that is both challenging and supportive. We encourage you to apply to be a part of our close-knit community of learners.
