For decades, the Krannert School of Management has used an analytical business approach to develop industry leaders. We specialize in developing students who aim to build upon their science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) backgrounds to establish, lead, and grow prominent organizations. 1. STEM Certified Program

Krannert’s MS Business Analytics & Information Management program lives up to Purdue’s long history of science and engineering leadership by offering an education that is rich in analytical reasoning, statistical insight, and pragmatic business acumen. Graduates of the Krannert MS BAIM program are eligible for STEM OPT extension that allows them to work in the U.S. for 3 years after graduation.

2. Real-world Application

The MS BAIM Experiential Learning course (MGMT 690 Industry Practicum) provides our graduate students the opportunity to apply the knowledge from their studies in an applicable area via a thesis or project. This course is ideal for students that will pursue analytical-type careers (e.g. Data/OR Analyst, Data Scientist, Decision Scientist, Business Consultant, etc.) and it is designed to polish and integrate the knowledge and skills you developed from your masters-level coursework by successfully developing an analytics solution with an industry partner. In 2018 alone, Krannert’s MS BAIM program was ranked as #1 Data Science Master’s program in the U.S. by CIO Magazine, and #12 Business Analytics Master’s program in the world by QS World University Rankings. Masters in Data Science also ranks the Krannert MS in Business Analytics #8. Students are instructed by award-winning Management Information Systems and Quantitative Methods faculty who cultivate competency in current best practices of data handling and analysis.
