Introduction

The purpose of the MCom in Strategic Human Resource Management is to develop the applied competence of the student on an advanced (executive) level in the mastering, analysis, interpretation, and understanding of performance, change, and organizational development principles and methods. The qualification puts the student in a position to register as a Personnel Practitioner with the South African Board of Personnel Practice. It also equips the student to work as a Human Resource Manager or Organisational Development Specialist on an advanced level in organizations. The qualification will further enable students to work as consultants in their own businesses as well as in consulting business ventures.
