MAS in Science, Technology, and Policy ETH Zurich now offers a new MAS program in Science, Technology, and Policy. This MAS is designed for students who hold an MSc degree in the natural or engineering sciences (including also medicine, mathematics, and architecture) and aim at a career where strong skills in policy analysis and policy management are important. Such skills are in high demand particularly in government agencies, large technology and life sciences firms, consulting firms, international organizations, and NGOs. The first half of the program (4 months) is designed for full-time study. The second half can be completed through full- or part-time study in combination with an internship or professional employment. Applications for the autumn 2017 program are accepted on a rolling basis, and the recruitment process closes at the end of July 2017.
This one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) program will develop your ability to situate scientific and engineering knowledge within a broader social, economic, and political context. It also equips you with skills to critically analyze policy-making institutions and processes, assess policy options, manage policy implementation, and evaluate the impact of policies. Such skills are in high demand by many employers, including government agencies, technology firms, international organizations, and civil society organizations.
