Engineered by a pedagogical team of over 80 experts: research professors from a variety of disciplines (agronomy, medicine, veterinary studies, biology, pharmacy, law, economics), and numerous professionals from the same fields, the programme benefits from the support of each partner’s research units.
The curriculum strongly emphasises the pedagogical use of ICTE* allowing for maximum, individual progression within the programme and the learning processes. Due to the international focus of MAN-IMAL, all courses are taught in English and students, as well as professors, from all over the world are welcome.
As such, the programme offers a rich exchange amongst different cultures and an international perspective on public health topics.
In order to be eligible, all candidates must have completed at least one year of post-graduate studies (equivalent to 60 ECTS credits) in pharmaceutical or biological sciences, medical and or veterinary studies, food processing engineering or agriculture.
How to access our programme
In order to be eligible for the MAN-IMAL Master's degree, candidates must have completed at least one year of postgraduate studies (equivalent to 60 ECTS credits) in:
- pharmaceutical or biological sciences
- medical studies
- veterinary studies
- food process engineering or agriculture
Applicants having only completed a Bachelor’s degree may be eligible under strict conditions. If an applicant has completed a total of 36 months of professional activity, whereby the necessary Master’s level skills have been acquired, he/she may be eligible for application to the Master’s*.
In order to be eligible, students must validate a minimum level in both French and English: B2 level for English (upper intermediate level) and A1/A2 level for French (beginner or elementary). Official certificates in both languages will be required during the application procedure.

The MAN-IMAL Master's tuition fee is 270 euros*.
The MAN-IMAL Master's tuition fee for candidates who have interrupted their studies for over two years is 6000 euros (4800 euros for unemployed candidates).

The content of the Master's Degree
The academic year is divided into two semesters:
The students will take courses in the five main teaching units:
- Health Organisation and Policies, Management and Communication
- Production Chains
- Biological and Chemical Risks
- Risk and Nutritional Contamination/Transfers
In addition, students will work on tutored projects in multidisciplinary groups. Each group will be in contact with an organisation/enterprise to work on particular topics related to One Health themes.
The second semester is entirely focused on the student's internship in a professional environment. The student will have to write a thesis based on the internship. The results of his work will be exposed in a thesis defense in front of the internship tutor and the tutoring teachers. The internship must last 5 months. It may be completed abroad as well as in France.
