Announcing a New Master Program in Migration Climate Change & Environment, opening in Fall 2022. Migration and climate change are two of the most defining issues of our time. While people have always moved to adapt to a changing environment, our awareness and understanding of the environmental drivers of migration have grown significantly over the past few decades. The adverse impacts of climate change are increasingly leading to human mobility worldwide, with significant implications for policy-makers in government, NGO and humanitarian organizations, and even for international companies. The program will benefit from a wide network of international partners, in particular, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, diplomatic missions, and a wide array of academic and research partners that work on human mobility and environmental issues.

The Master in Public Management and Policy is offered by the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Università della Svizzera Italiana, USI, situated in Lugano and is promoted by the Swiss Public Administration Network (SPAN). This full-time study program comprises 120 ECTS, for a usual duration of 2 years. The public sector has radically changed in recent years and creates interesting and exciting professional opportunities that require new appropriately qualified professionals. The variety of abilities, skills, and knowledge required by anyone wishing to occupy a position of responsibility and promote change in the public and in the private nonprofit sector are exactly what the Master in Public Management and Policy offers.

The Master of Arts in Interreligious Dialogue. Science, Philosophy and Theology of Religions has been designed to provide extensive knowledge of the major world religions and explain their basic principles, different structures, and history.

The MA in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes the study of the history of both architecture and art. It is a complete Master which aims at counteracting the growing marginalisation of architecture in art history studies. At the same time, the study of the history of art and architecture in different eras (medieval, modern and contemporary) is complemented by in-depth studies on the theory and criticism of architecture, artistic literature, the history and practice of restoration (with moments of practice in the field), museology and digital humanities with an eye towards other artistic and cultural expressions like photography, cinema, theatre, and literature. Practical workshops and internships in affiliated institutions complete the Master's training offer.

Tourism has grown to become a global economic industry. Managing international tourism means understanding its diversity and requires a frequent change of perspectives between the various stakeholders involved in tourism: different types of tourists, tourism businesses, the local community, tourism employees, governments, NGOs, activist groups, and tourism industry associations – to name a few.

The Master of Arts in interreligious dialogue: Science, Philosophy and Theology of Religions, promoted by the Re.Te. Institute ("Religions and Theology") of the Lugano Faculty of Theology, has been designed to provide extensive knowledge of the major world religions, explain their basic principles, their different structures, and their history. The Master’s course aims to teach its students to promote and develop a dialogue with members of other religions, precisely by gaining an appreciation of other religions and learning how to communicate and hold effective interaction.

The Master in International Tourism seeks to respond to this challenge and offers a program that goes beyond the limited focus of professional masters courses, proposing instead a transversal and multidisciplinary approach at a university level.

Upon successful completion of the study program students receive an international private Master in Communication Studies degree awarded by the school's main campus in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty of the local campuses where credits were earned, and upon the recommendation of the school's Academic Council.

The program of Master of Arts in International Relations allows the student to acquire knowledge and skills in the most relevant matters related to international diplomacy, politics, and economics in order to communicate and cooperate in the most efficient manner with international interlocutors let it be in governmental and non-governmental organizations but also in business as the case may be.

The Master of Arts in Dance offers two specializations: Choreography, on one hand, Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals on the other. It builds the choreographic and teaching skills needed to work with dance professionals and to qualify for the relevant professions. Coursework includes choreographic methods, teaching skills, and artistic research with a view to developing an individual artist or teaching profile. The programme promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and helps students to establish a sustainable network within the international field of dance.
