The Religious Roots of Europe (RRE) is a two-year Master’s programme with a unique, comparative focus on the early, formative history of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as well as their interactions in both past and present. RRE combines a thorough study of ancient sources with contemporary challenges in an inspirational community of internationally recognised scholars and students from various backgrounds. RRE can be studied either in Lund or from a distance, as long as compact seminars are attended, beginning with an excursion to ancient Rome. The programme can lead to doctoral studies, and gives much-needed expertise for government institutions and churches, as examples. -
