We are dedicated to educating, motivating and preparing highly qualified, ethically and culturally competent, professional counselors. Graduates of our program can be licensed as professional counselors, professional clinical mental health counselors, or professional school counselors. Accreditation The 60 hour Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling concentrations are nationally accredited by CACREP through March 31, 2019. The Clinical Mental Health concentration has also been approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist Board through March, 2019. Additionally, the School Counseling concentration has been approved through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE); the Ohio Department of Higher Education until spring 2022; and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Program Snapshot Students have a 98% (on average) first time rate for the OAE School Counselor exam and the National Counselor Exam, which are used for licensure in Ohio. Program completion rate is 98%. Job placement rate is approximately 95% within one year after graduation.
