MAs 2017/2018 in Monterey USA. Our three-semester master’s program prepares students to pursue careers in the growing field of international education management. Our International Education Master's Program The growth of study abroad and international education programs in the past ten years has fueled the demand for professionals with advanced training. Increasingly a master's degree is required for entry level positions in the field. Our three-semester International Education Management program includes two semesters at our Monterey, CA campus followed by a 4-6 month professional practicum in the U.S. or abroad. Through our curriculum, students gain a wide variety of knowledge and skills related to program management, higher education administration, student services and affairs, and intercultural communication. They also study a language of their choice. Practica & Professional Experience Our students gain professional experience through the required international education practicum. They work with study abroad programs, colleges and universities, youth exchange programs, ESL or language programs, and government agencies around the world. Through a partnership with Middlebury Schools Abroad, our students can assist in running study abroad programs in Russia, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Spain, France, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, China, Japan, Chile, Mexico, and Israel. We educate students to be leaders and policy makers equipped to launch successful international careers in international trade, diplomacy, and economic policy. International Trade & Economic Diplomacy Program Our 3-semester International Trade and Economic Diplomacy program develops highly skilled international trade and economic policy professionals fully prepared to work productively in the rapidly changing global marketplace. Our graduates work with businesses, government and NGOs on the world's most pressing international trade and diplomacy matters. As a student in this program you will gain a deep understanding of policy analysis and trade negotiations as well as the opportunity to focus on one of three tracks in the trade and economic diplomacy program: business, government, or civil society. The program takes 18 months to complete, starting with intensive training in Monterey in the late summer, and continuing on with courses in the fall, winter, and spring. The final fall semester takes place in Washington, D.C., and prepares students to pursue careers in international trade and economic diplomacy.
