The M.A. in Media Communication taught in English at FSPAC offers students a better understanding of media technologies, messages, production, distribution and reception practices and equips students with the skills necessary to become media consultants, media analysts, researchers, professional communication specialists, online system designers, campaign managers or spokespersons. The curriculum features research-oriented courses that emphasize the use of new tools for data collection and analysis, project-based courses that encourage team-work and the development of professional competencies, skills-oriented courses focusing on broadcasting and digital media production, web design and storytelling and theoretical courses that aim to contextualize communication, describe frameworks and discuss the contributions of different scholars to media theory. The M.A. program encourages the development of critical thinking, peer-learning and team-work in the multicultural Transylvanian context and UBB’s interdisciplinary framework. Students are encouraged to take part in the Journalism Department’s research projects and in its media studios – the TV Studio, the Radio Studio, the magazine newsroom, the photo and the multimedia lab. Tuition fees The tuition fee for EU citizens is 3000 lei/year.
