Journalists work to gather the facts surrounding an event and then relay that information to their readers, viewers and subscribers.

The Caribbean Sea is a sea of the Atlantic Ocean located in the tropics of the Western hemisphere. It is bounded by Mexico and Central America to the west and southwest, to the north by the Greater Antilles, to the east by the Lesser Antilles, and to the south by South America.

The Masters of Arts Degree in Media and Peace is for students interested in gaining in-depth knowledge of what role media can and does play in peace and conflict issues of our times. Current or would-be practitioners interested in gaining useful and deep knowledge in media best practices in mitigating conflict and promoting peace will also benefit from this course. In this program, the students gain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of relevant research, and evidence-based best practices, related to how media can (but often does not) contribute to peacebuilding and conflict transformation. Students will acquire expertise in critical analysis of media’s role in peace and conflict, as well as in the impactful application of media for peacebuilding and humanitarian purposes. The aim of the program is to train students to be insightful researchers, effective policymakers and reflexive communicators, who can make a positive impact on the global humanitarian field.
