What is an MA in Interpretation? This degree path offers students the coursework they need to develop translating and interpreting skills. Students learn how to translate written or spoken language from one language to another. They also gain experience interpreting spoken language. The courses offered may include simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation and video and telephone interpreting. Different programs offer different tracks, depending on the candidate’s abilities at the time of enrollment. Usually, the degree is granted after coursework is complete and a master’s thesis or project has been accepted.
