In the field of engineering design, knowledge is combined from a variety of areas and produce functional designs. Depending on the program, students may learn how to integrate electrical, mechanical and electronic technology into a single product.

In all, there are over 4000 Higher Education Institutions in Europe offering a wide range of courses at Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate level.
