Most counseling programs offer students a variety of psychology and clinical classes to choose from. Some typical topics include theories and approaches to counseling, research methods, group facilitation skills, ethical issues, counseling families and couples, and trauma counseling.

The institutions of higher education included regular four-year colleges and universities. Education is taken very seriously in South Korea, and the country is home to several world class universities, many of which have exchange agreements with various foreign universities, and are a good way for foreigners to experience life in the country.

The Graduate School of Psychology Counseling was established to cultivate and educate counseling experts (elderly and family counseling, child and adolescent counseling, music psychotherapy, art psychotherapy) in accordance with the founding philosophy and Article 28 of the Higher Education Act. This graduate school is fostering specialized counselors required by Korean society by installing diverse and systematic major courses in a total of four semesters of the curriculum. Upon graduation, students acquire various counselor certificates and conduct various theoretical education, systematic practice, and supervision so that they can work as counseling experts in the field. After completing the course, they can acquire a Master of Arts in Counseling (MA) degree. -
