The MA programme in European Studies is composed of high-level postgraduate courses taught in English. Students will take classes from the core, key, speciality, and optional categories according to their academic specialisation and personal interest. The maximum duration of studies is 4 semesters.

This programme is designed to provide students with advanced and interdisciplinary knowledge of contemporary European affairs. Our focus is the study of the political, economic and cultural character of Central and Eastern Europe and the European Union. We address this program to foreign students from all over the world (and also from Poland) who want to pursue their Master's degree in our country, become familiar with its history and culture, make new friends, and embark on an interesting existential and intellectual adventure.

What is "Philosophy and Culture of East-Central Europe - Experience and Thought"?

One of Master’s degree programs in philosophy offered at the Institute of Philosophy, Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw (Poland) - addressed to all graduate students interested in getting to know the philosophical-cultural legacy of Central and Eastern Europe. The studies provide an opportunity to become familiar with the experience and thought of the people of this region as well as to gain knowledge, skills, and competencies related thematically to the philosophy and culture of Central and Eastern Europe.... This two-year full-time Comparative Heritage Studies (COHES) MA programme offers a wide range of knowledge on cultural heritage in literature, art, theatre, architecture, urban space, and sites of memory, particularly those found in Krakow and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The COHES programme focuses on the multi-ethnic, multinational, multilingual nature of heritage, approaching it from three angles: Digital Heritage, Visual Heritage, and Comparative and Translated Heritage.

The knowledge gained by COHES graduates will allow them to broaden their understanding of the dynamics shaping heritage in the contemporary world, both in symbolic and material terms. Graduates will be prepared to identify and analyze social, cultural, and political actions that affect the recognition and protection of cultural heritage, as well as its management and education. They will receive qualifications to work in international cultural centers, particularly museums, archival/research, diplomatic, or academic institutes, publishing houses, and libraries. These studies will train young scholars to use interdisciplinary tools in a critical and comparative fashion, helping them to work in multilingual and multicultural environments.... [-]

Students will understand the development and evolution of "Central Europe” in modern times and how these changes affect business, politics and societies.
