What is an MA in Administration? Administration is the complex process of efficiently organizing and directing work teams to achieve a predetermined goal. This field of study helps students understand the multitude of key administrative functions to become highly-efficient administrators. Coursework in this field is diverse and may include organizational behavior, marketing, finance strategy, operations management, ethics, research methods and statistics, international business and more.

As students earn an MA, they may develop a variety of important skills that can help with employment in nearly any position and with many professional and personal situations. Program participants can hone strong communication and organization skills to become effective managers and leaders. These students also tend to be highly detail-oriented.

The cost of an MA is typically cheaper than an undergraduate degree, but it can also depend on the length of the degree program and the location of the school. Students can research or contact different schools for more tuition information.

Students with an MA in Administration often find themselves more competitive in the job market for higher-paying jobs. Working in administration can range from the public to private sector, and many of these positions are managerial leadership roles.
