The students’ practical and theoretical understanding of filmmaking will be advanced by lecturers who work as professional filmmakers. Students will have access to industry-standard equipment, a professional on-campus film studio, personal edit suites with professional postproduction software, and sessions with external industry professionals. You will be encouraged to creatively explore the art of filmmaking within the context of a highly structured, professional industry environment, and should graduate with clearly articulated outputs that may be used to advance their careers in film production.

Study style

Student practical work (film projects) will be assessed in the modules that include specific production activity. Written work will be assessed in both production modules that include written submissions (including pre-production material) and in modules that require academic writing (including Textual Studies and Postgraduate Thesis).
