Early Childhood Education is a master degree study field in the frame of study program Pre-school and Out-of-school Pedagogy, organized in the full-time form of study.
Profile of graduates and their prospective employment:
Graduates in this field are equipped with the knowledge and skills in the field of pre-school children education. The program builds on a bachelor's degree and further deepens the competence in pedagogy and psychology as well as management of pre-school facilities, special education, and also includes scientific-methodical preparation.
Besides the classical university education, the integral part includes practice, which takes place not only in classrooms of various kindergartens but it also contains management practice and practice in inspection bodies.
Graduates can work as a kindergarten teacher, Head Teacher/Master/Mistress of a pre-school facility, inspector, methodical worker, worker in government-industry or researcher of pre-school education.

Organization of studies:
Autumn/Winter term: 13 weeks from 3rd week of September + examination period
Spring/Summer term: 13 weeks from 2nd week of February + examination period

A prerequisite for acceptance to this Master's degree is a completed bachelor's degree in Kindergarten Teacher Training or related discipline with a focus on the training/education of pre-school children.
Application deadline: 31st March (for starting studies in September)
A bachelor’s degree in pre-school/early childhood educational study program or comparable study program is required.
The extent and contents of the entrance examination:
- a written letter of motivation* is required.
*Applicants are supposed to give information of their previous bachelor ́s degree studies and study results, of their study objectives and expectations, of their previous practical experience and other professional skills.
- no additional entrance tests will be administered.
- no oral examination.
