Estonian Business School (EBS)

The two-year full-time Master’s Programme in International Business Administration is designed for students with the Bachelor`s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Management or equivalent. It offers specialists in their field to focus in areas of marketing management to become experts in their field. Lectures are held in the evenings, which allow you to work or attend to your other responsibilities during the day-time.

International Business Administration programme has 3 specializations:

  • Marketing Management (taught only in EBS Tallinn Campus)
  • Finance and accounting (taught only in EBS Tallinn Campus)
  • Organisational change and leadership (taught only in EBS Helsinki Campus)

Major in Marketing Managemenet

Objectives of the specialization

  • To prepare the students to deal independently and effectively with emerging and new marketing tasks in complex contexts;
  • To provide students with advanced level of contemporary marketing knowledge and application skills.

Upon successful completion of the module the graduate

  • Understand and take into account ethical and legal considerations in a professional way in the context of complex marketing tasks;
  • Obtain, analyse and interpret data in order to make evidence-based decisions in a wide range of complex marketing and business related contexts;
  • Critically apply a wide and thorough knowledge of a variety of foundational and contemporary marketing theories, concepts, and practical principles;
  • Design and implement both long term and short term marketing strategies and tactical plans;
  • Is able to communicate complex marketing ideas professionally and present marketing solutions in a convincing way in a broad set of personal and group contexts.

Major in Finance and Accounting

Our program keeps the flexibility of general business management with a powerful financial preparation, opening professional opportunities in a wider range of occupations as well as teaching students how to fully run their own companies. The Finance Major is very specialized and math intensive module which requires preparation in math, statistics and elementary corporate finance and investments.

The Finance specalization makes the best out of EBS association with CFA Institute and ACCA Association providing students with an attractive and powerful reference that assures quality and relevance by itself, and also allows them to proceed to prepare the certifications' programmes of their choice with much of the work already done.

Upon successful completion of the module the graduate

  • Define and implement long range financial strategies;
  • Evaluate the whole financial status and forward looking strategies of a corporation;
  • Analyse financial instruments and portfolios;
  • Carry out full accounting and assurance tasks;
  • Take charge of general or departmental management activities with responsibility for financial results and return on invested capital.

Organisational change and leadership

The Organisational Change and leadership specialization module is designed to provide profound knowledge in leadership of organisational change, combining the current theoretical concepts with the analysis of future trends, and creating a general understanding of the main theories in management of organisational change and leadership. It prepares students to manage organisational change and offers skills to implement best leadership practices in modern business organisations.

Upon successful completion of the module the graduate

  • Understands and has a vision of different interpretations of object and principles of the theories of organisational changes in the following fields: types and process of organisational changes, the readiness of the organisation for changes, organisation and environment interface;
  • Understands post-industrial leadership environment and changes in organisations and knows the main schools and tools of strategic leadership;
  • Knows leadership competencies including creative leadership and transformational leadership techniques that enable to cope with contemporary leadership challenges;
  • Understands the essence of business ethics and ethical leadership, can compare and analyse different theories with implication skills in real business organisations;
  • Understands different cultures and subcultures in global environment;
  • Can effectively communicate as a leader in global business environments and diagnose and find solution strategies for cross-cultural conflicts;
  • Is ready to work in positions that require skills such as analytical thinking, effective change management, ethical decision making, good presentation and negotiation skills, motivating and inspiring people;
  • Is able to state managerial problems and evaluate their connection with the topic of the research.

  • Top or mid-level managers in respective fields and heads of departments;

Admission

Admission to EBS Master's studies takes place twice a year - in summer and in winter (only EU). Admitted students can start their studies either in September or in February (only EU). First step for applying to EBS is filling in the application form. After sending the application, EBS study consultant will contact you and explain the following admission process.

The admission for study year 2017/2018 is now over.

Admission deadline for study year 2018/2019

  • for EU candidates is the 5th of January, 2018 and 1st of July, 2018.
  • for non-EU candidates is the 10th of April, 2018.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate diploma (or higher) - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or economics or management, higher professional equivalent qualification; GMAT accepted.

For Major in Finance a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance is requested.

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

Language Requirements

English - Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+

Minimum

  • TOEFL iBT score 87 - Test result has to be sent directly to EBS by the test centre. It is also possible to order the test results to be sent to EBS online. Please note that TOEFL iBT test score is valid 2 years.
  • IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 5.5, with 5.5 or above in each band. Please note that IELTS test result is valid 2 years.
  • Cambridge FCE - Candidates presenting Cambridge English tests should indicate their ID number (a 3 letter and 6 number combination) and secret number (4 digits) in their application form. These numbers are included in the confirmation of entry for the Cambridge exam. If you don’t know these details, please contact the exam centre.

For EU citizen the semester fee is 2200 €, paying in two parts the semester fee is 2200 € + 35 €. For non-EU citizens tuition fee for first study year (2 semesters) is 4400 €, tuition fee can be paid only in one installment
