The Master course in Economics aims to provide essentially a set of knowledge of the Economics field to allow complete formation of the first cycle, thereby enhancing the prospects of employability and future career of your students. The course is structured into three branches: Economic Analysis, Regional Economy and Local Development and Internationalization and Competitiveness. The Economic Analysis Branch aims at providing general skills of Economics, encouraging more direct research activity and progression to graduate through a strong collaboration with the PhD study plan in Economics. It also highlights the flexibility of the curriculum of this branch, where three of the eight courses of letiva component are optional nature. The branches of Regional Economy and Local Development and Internationalization and Competitiveness are intended to confer powers that focus mainly on these areas of the economy by way of transmitting knowledge eminently applied together with a solid theoretical component. These branches are directed mainly to graduates who perform or intending to perform professional duties in these areas, aim to deepen their theoretical and / or update their knowledge in academic and technical training. In the three branches intended to mainly: - to contribute to the development of skills that help the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of economic nature; - to stimulate and develop an interest in research economic issues and, consequently, engage the candidates in research projects developed under the EU-CEFAGE study center and promote their progression to doctoral programs.
The Master's degree in Economics from the University of Évora is aimed at all interested in acquiring specialized and professional skills under the three branches that compose it. Prepares students for the performance of professional duties as economists, researchers, teachers and senior companies and local public organizations, national and international. The course has recently been subjected to recognition by the Ministry of Education for progression purposes in teaching career under Decree 344/2008 of 30 April.
