Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science
Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science offers the following programs conducted in English:
A 1.5-year graduate program in the areas of:
Business Intelligence Systems Development.
M.SC. Masters Studies - Mathematics & Information Technology
The graduate program covers modern mathematics and tackles the latest trends in computer science. Studying is mostly individual. Each student must choose a scientific advisor from among the faculty teaching and research staff according to their scientific interests. Last semester is devoted mainly to the preparation of the M.Sc. thesis, which is usually highly related to the ongoing faculty research.
Depending on the profile of the studies, graduates may find employment in companies with diverse business profiles, in particular creating software, IT consultancy companies, in the advanced technology sector, in financial institutions. They can work as software designers and creators, managers of programming teams, statistical systems developers, business intelligence systems modelers and programmers, SAS advanced programmers and SAS platform administrators, information system administrators, computer network designers, and administrators, specialists in data protection and information systems security or managers of projects related to the application of computational methods in various disciplines. The best students have the opportunity to continue their education, extend knowledge and focus on scientific research at Ph.D. studies.
