The M.A. in Linguistics and Literature: English offers a range of courses to choose from in the fields of both linguistics and literary studies. There is only one compulsory element - you must take at least one linguistics course and one literature course. The master thesis constitutes an important part of the degree and is worth 18 of the 60 ECTS credits. Literature topics include the American historical novel after 1950, the construction of age, and the work of Samuel Beckett. Linguistics courses include pragmatics, negation, and curriculum and syllabus design.
