With the help of personality- and task-oriented lessons our master’s course prepares our students to fit into the labor market. The acquired knowledge and practice will make you able to understand and analyze the economic, legal, and political processes of the international system thereby will make you capable of filling in leading positions in both public and non-profit sectors as well as local governments and international organizations.
Description of the program
The program’s qualification objectives are equivalent to the European Qualification Framework System level 7, and Hungarian National Qualification Framework system 7th level programs. They comply with the Hungarian subject benchmarks and are accredited by the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee, member of ENQA.
A foreign affairs analyst (FAAs/IRAs) or international relations analyst is an expert in one or more areas of international relations, such as foreign policy, international trade, international and domestic security, and regional studies.
By taking this course you will be capable of:
understanding and using approaches, methods and tools of different international economic, law, political theories, and regional-civilizational studies using your professional foreign language skills for understanding the complex globalized international system.
deep analysis of different macro-regions or sub-regions’ economic, political and social interdependencies
D. level education
As a foreign affairs analyst you will:
perform research on issues related to the area of your expertise that may impact policies and positions of governments, humanitarian organizations, and multinational corporations. Your work also includes assisting in the development of plans and policy formations and analyzing the function of agencies and organizations and their impact on international relations.
help non-governmental organizations, government agencies, and private-sector corporations alike formulate or revise their policies based on what is going on in strategically important parts of the world. Foreign affairs analysts also study the influence and effect of an organization or an agency in a specific country or region in the world. This means IRAs must be knowledgeable of the history, culture, and political system of the country or region of the world they study and must be up-to-date on current events. A nation’s political and business ties are also of key strategic importance when conducting analyses.
have a deep understanding of how countries relate to each other politically, economically, in social or cultural terms and diplomatically. As such, you are responsible for managing the political and commercial interests of an organization.
