Master in Asia Pacific Studies
The University of San Francisco M.A. in Asia Pacific Studies program (MAPS) explores in depth the economic powerhouses of 21st century Asia and their embrace of the explosive forces of modernization. Located in the exciting center of America's most Asia-focused city, MAPS is an innovative program that studies both the economic and social dynamism of modern Asia and its rich history and cultural continuity.
As the Pacific Century unfolds, the MAPS Program is designed to serve the needs and schedules of both traditional graduate students and working professionals who seek an advanced education in East Asian cultures, economies, and societies. With its interdisciplinary approach to the Asia Pacific region, MAPS prepares students for a broad spectrum of careers in the following areas:

- International Service Organizations.
Students in the MAPS program enjoy access to the many resources and opportunities provided by the USF Center for Asia Pacific Studies. Established in 1988 to develop the University's increasing involvement with Asia and the Pacific, the Center seeks to foster greater understanding of the Asia Pacific region and to strengthen communications and professional connections among the peoples and economies of the Pacific.
